Polaris
A career development program for women leaders.
Polaris is an internal Google program that aims to improve women's representation by investing in their internal female talent and growing their execs' sponsorship and advocacy skills.
I was challenged to create a visual language that tells the Polaris story and matches the Google School for Leaders brand.

The concept
The program is all about connections: women helping other women to achieve their growth and goals. Polaris as the northern star represents a guide, a direction; in this universe, things are connected, creating an environment of network, support, and partnership.
Meaningful shapes
With that story in mind, I created three key elements to represent the main concepts of the program: Environment, the safe space for women to grow and learn; Vision, the goals of each individual and group; Network, the connections, and bonds that led the women to success.
Illustration
We choose flat illustrations with realistic proportions to better represent the real women who are part of Google. They are diverse in race, body shape, religion, disabilities, goals, and more.
They have a positive attitude and are supportive and engaged. They have different experiences and backgrounds, so it was all taken into consideration when representing these females.

Welcome Kit
The first contact with the Polaris program is the welcome kit: the participants will receive a box with useful stuff such as a notebook, tote bag, t-shirt, mug, and more.
The identity is meant to be something you want to wear and not just another merch that will be your next pajamas. We want the Polaris participants to be proud and confident of wearing it even outside the work environment.
